RE-IMAGINING HU Libraries and Moorland-Spingarn
The Founders Library, the Undergraduate Library and the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center (MSRC) are being completely re-imagined for the 21st century! Friends of the Howard University Libraries System and the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center will play a significant role in bringing these changes about as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of Founders Library and the 100th anniversary of MSRC. Stay tuned to learn more about the Centennial Club and TeamFounders, all part of the Howard University Libraries Capital Campaign coming soon.
The Friends of the Howard University Libraries System (HULS) and Moorland Spingarn Research Center (MSRC) is established to support and promote the use and enjoyment of the libraries, archives and research center for our university community.

Join the Friends of the Howard University Libraries System and the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center
Friends come together for Author Talks, Book Signings, Academic Programs, Community Service, Theater Outings, and Scholarship Fundraising. They also develop the financial resources needed to improve facilities and resources for Founders Library and the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center.
From the Library's humble beginning in 1867, the Library's philosophy has remained unchanged: to help people learn. The Friends are dedicated to the Library and the Archives' mission to provide the highest standards in service and resources that support the University's mission for excellence in learning and teaching, scholarship, and service.
Friends are alumni, students, faculty and staff of Howard University and others in the community who share a love for knowledge and a desire to promote the vital role the University Libraries and the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center play in the academic life of the University and in society. Friends also provide financial support for resources and services that benefit learners in the University community and at-large.
